Researchers from Uppsala University and KTH want to learn and understand how children play outdoors from the people who know best – children!

We’re inviting families with children aged 8-11 who can speak English to come and play outdoors. We would like to observe children while they play outdoors and interview and ask them about what they played and how they made their play possible.

The workshop shall take place in Observatorieparken and we shall meet outside Föreningen Uppsalaekonomerna at Kyrkogårdsgatan 2B, 753 12 Uppsala.

The workshop is a drop-in, but you shall need to sign a consent form when you arrive to participate. If you intend to participate, please send an email to Will Cash at william.cash.4909@student.uu.se.

There shall be another workshop called ‘Technology: The Future of Children’s Outdoor Play?’ on 9th April that shall test a prototype of an outdoor play object that features technology, and investigate the effect technology has on outdoor play. Families do not need to attend both workshops to participate in either workshop.

If you have any questions, please contact Will Cash at william.cash.4909@student.uu.se
